Blogmeets or Remains of the day

Sunday evening in Delhi was well spent with bloggers who have been read for a long time now. Shivam who was the host came rather late, but we forgave him as he organized it in the first place. Monica and I found some time to chat up before Jai made it. Dhiraj showed up, and showed off a brand-new tattoo on his neck. (Btw, I don’t know what the tattoo was meant to be!) Evidence of a Holi played with great enthusiasm and semi-permanent colour was obvious.

River and I ended up taking quite a few photographs. Prakriti looked at the two of us with great amusement. He also explained the concept of “living with an interesting name”. Conversation was free-flowing. From heavyweight blogging, overbloggers, weather changes, dead blogs (like DesiMediaBitch), Delhi, Delhi University politics, news channels, mangoes, litchis, freelanching, ruins, new bloggers, Global Voices, various pundits etc. were discussed. Much chocolate and coffee was consumed. It was also decided that Shivam bears a striking resemblance to Dilbert. I would have posted photographs of the bloggers, but am never sure of how comfortable people are with their photographs being posted online. However, what you see here are the remains of the day. Many thanks to Costa Coffee for not kicking us out despite the noise and cheat orders (when you linger over your drink for hours just to stay at the table!).

Had a wonderful time! So long, and thanks for all the iced tea!

Updating sunday’s events on wednesday evening(shudder!).

Sharm, responsibility, commitment to causes, esprit-de-corps. Kuch nahi.

  2. Patrix says:

Now now I must know what about the ‘various pundits’ was discussed…coup planned? πŸ™‚ Picures in my inbox won’t hurt.

  4. Desi media bitch isn’t a dead blog πŸ˜€

they just changed their name and everyone forgot about them…and as someone else pointed out there everyone is busy with their own collab blogs…

  7. neha vish says:

Prakriti: Will mail out the snaps to all the bloggers who attended the meet once I am back home. πŸ™‚

Patrix: You want pictures!?! It took a spunky Ash to post yours if I remember right!

River: I think you and I single handedly finished that beautiful piece of chocolate! It was great meeting you.. nice to put a face to all that poetry. (Not at all like an elephant’s may I say..)

Angelo: CSF II is a different venture altogether. I would say CSF died a strange death. It was killed and not even archives remain. Completely unfair to its many contributors who had no idea what had come over the main moderator.

    maharajadhiraj: will do!

    lak: Damn!

  8. Lovely Neha,
