What block?

I can only speak for myself, but I’ve always felt that there’s nothing called a “writer’s block”. But how do I explain the fact that for the last few days, I don’t really feel like writing.

The only thing that can be blocked is a toilet drain. And I hope my mind isn’t one. Bah.

No, No it’s not writer’s block, it’s just a conspiracy by the Save Patriarhy Department of the Govt of India 🙂

  2. Though I cannot speak on behalf of the entire Govt., I do know that there is no budgetary allocation for blocking Neha.

    I can also gloat.

There are sveral other blocks. Such as rain water hopper blocks and kitchen sink blocks and all the blocks that are possible for an old house to have. There are, of course, also building blocks…

I bet a lot of people all over India breathing a sigh of relief that you can’t find any feminist cause to pick on 🙂 Be back soon, like tomorrow I mean

ok… here’s an easy 3 step process to clean up any blockage.. be it a toilet-sink, heart arteries or a writer’s thinking process.

    a. stop doing what might be leading to the blockage (e.g. pushing stale food down the drain, smoking, or trying to think too hard to write for writing’s sake)
    b. fix it (e.g. pour acid down the drain, get to jogging/exercises while you still can, get away from the net for a while into the real world outside… pick up a book (but don’t read it as if you are reviewing it… better still pick up an Enid Blyton… or Agatha Christie :), or paint sth (if you like to), or just go for some sun-bathing (if you don’t take the regular water ones 🙂
    c. let the urge come back (e.g. urge to start pushing food down the drain, urge to light up that ONE stick, urge to write something that is not the same as trying to broadcast to a large audience :))

    you get the picture…. !!

i’m positive, i’m blocked for sure now (from posting comments on your blog 🙂

missed you , neha, please stay unblocked in future! Now, what would be the writer’s equivalent of Drainex?

  9. Keith says:

It is in your nature to write and you are a fantastic writer ! but you don’t have to write ALL the time. Take an mental break, the weekend off and you will get that desire to write again. We will all be here when you get back !

We will all be here? Hmmm not sure about me though, will be around if you are lucky
